01 — Why I created Globe Trip

An app born from real travel

Hi, I'm Brett, a software engineer with a degree in Information Systems. Before becoming a full-time traveler, I spent nearly eight years managing digital projects for public administrations.

In 2023, I left my routine behind to explore the world. Since then, I've visited more than 50 countries, including a complete round-the-world journey.

Along the way, I found myself constantly switching between different apps: one to plan my itinerary, another to manage my budget, another to save memories, and yet another to create maps or travel animations.

I started building Globe Trip to solve that problem. My goal was simple: create the travel app I always wished existed—one place to plan, experience, remember, and share every adventure.
